Hello, my name is Bill Baggs, owner of B-Squared Woodworks in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. I’m a retired public servant fulfilling a dream of owning a woodworking business.

My very first wood project was a model of an Inuit village I made in Grade 3.  It was very crude and I remember to this day nailing the sled together. I still have the tack hammer I borrowed from my dad to nail together the pieces of the village. Other items from my school years include a treasure chest that my mom uses today for her jewelry and a candy dish, just to name a couple.

My first wood project as an adult was a cradle I made for my eldest son who was is now 30 years old. That cradle was passed down to my youngest son, and when he grew out of it was used as a toybox for a number of years. It is still a toybox all these years later, now for my grandson, Asher.

The first rocking horse I made was for my youngest son for Christmas when he was 3, 25 years ago. That rocking horse got me thinking and dreaming of a woodworking business. Since then I have hand crafted a barnyard of rocking horses, including the one I made for Asher, which he rides when he's over visiting his Mimi and Poppa.
